Amparo Workshop

At first, the Amparo Project was geared mainly towards strengthening, disseminating and creating knowledge on Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs).

Starting in 2013 and based on its years of experience, the Amparo Workshop positioned itself as a space for learning about various computer security related topics. Thus, it began focusing on offering training and strengthening other topics, including:

  • DNS security / DNSSEC deployment
  • Secure routing (best practices, resource certification, use of RPKI)
  • Network security
  • The implications of IPv4 exhaustion for Internet security, particularly for incident management
  • Other topics decided based on the needs identified within the community

This currently includes two workshops: a basic workshop and an advanced workshop. The two allow participants to learn how to create and manage a Computer Security Incident Response Team.
